Cup in hand. Straw in. No lid.

Nobody complains. Nobody notices. They drink it anyway.

At first it feels trivial. Then you realize what just happened.

No lid means less plastic or paper, masked as a ESG-movement.

But in $MCD case it means:

> Faster throughput.
> Less waste handling.
> Fewer supply-chain items.

One tiny component removed across millions of drinks per day.

Nothing breaks. Customers adapt instantly.

The experience is “good enough,” which is all mass-scale businesses need.

This is operational leverage in the real world.
